There is no doubt that languages have an established position in human life. It differentiates humans from all other creatures and allows humans to communicate and express their needs. It has facilitated a way for human sciences and inventions to spread around the world allowing scholars from every corner of the earth to interconnect.

The word also has a role that is undeniably noticed by divine laws and by social norms and customs. Hence, learning any language means communicating with the civilization and culture of its native speakers.

The Arabic Language has a prominent position in the world. It is a mirror for the mind, a thinking tool and a container of knowledge. The Arabic language also stands out for its richness in vocabulary, composition and literature. Its importance is emphasised in the fact that it is a device that has conveyed the Arabic culture for centuries.

It is safe to say that one cannot learn the Arabic language in its entirety except that then live amongst its learned natives and adhering to its individuals. And so, the concept of the ‘Arabicity- Teaching the Arabic Language to Non-native Speaker’ was built around this framework. It is the preservation of a well-grounded systematic environment to nurture and develop skilled speakers of a range of languages who possess a desire to study Arabic language and literature. The institute accepts individuals from different countries, cultures and ages. They are aided by an integral teaching system, specialist teachers and blissful whether all of which guarantee the student enjoyment.

*The aims of the Institute*1)     Teaching the Arabic language and Arabic literature.

2)         Contribute to the spread of the Arabic language and literature

3)         Acquainting the learner about particular aspects of Arab and Islamic civilization

4)         The development of four skills (listening – speaking- reading- writing)

5)         Achieving linguistic, communication and cultural competence

6)         Qualifying students to enrol into Egyptian universities.

7)         Training teachers in teaching Arabic language to non- native speakers.

8)         Preparing and implementing programs and curriculums in teaching Arabic language.

2-Educational curriculums

–           Al- Arabiyya bayna yadayk ( Islamic Waqf Foundation)

–           Series: Takallum (Dar Al Nile for printing and publishing) 

–           Al-Asasi fi ta’leem Al-lughati Al-arabiyyati li ghayr An-natiqeena Biha(Arab League Educational , Cultural and Scientific Organization)

–           Al-Arabiyya Lin-Nashieen (Saudi Ministry of Education).

–           Series: Ta’leem lughatu Al-arabiyya (parts 45) The university of imam ahmad bin sa’ood Al-islami.

–           Kutub An-Nahw Al-Arabiya: Matn Al-aajroomiya, qatr An-nada, Sharh ibn ‘aqeel, Awdah Al-masalik, Al’nahw Al-wadih, An-nahw Al-Kafi).

–           Kutub As-sarf: As-sarf Al-kafi, As-sarf Al-muyassar, Shadha Al-‘arf fi Fan As-sarf .

– kutub Al-balagha: Al-balaghatu Al-wadih, jawahir Al-balagha, qisatu Al-balagha, baghiyatu Al-eedah

–           Kutub At-tajweed: Tuhfatu Al-atfaal, matan Al- Jazariyya, Al-mulakhas Al-mufid fi ‘ilm At-tajweed, Ghayatu Al-mureed fi ‘ilm At-tajweed

–           And other series a student wishes to complete.

The institute also provides a curriculum catered to teaching Arabic to children as series (alearbiat bayn yaday ‘awlafina) , (ahibu alearabia) and (allughat alearabia lilnnashiiyn).

The institute also offers a special program where the student in this program is able to choose the curriculum he/she wants.

The institute also holds special courses that meet the needs of learners and achieve their goals, which are special and specific Arabic courses for such as Arabic for media professionals

These courses are divided according to the four stages of education, as they cover specific aspects of Arabic. These stages are:

1-The introductory stage:

This consists of one level with a duration of forty hours. During this stage, the student will be able to:

A- Learn Arabic letters for readinf and writing. 

B- Learn easy vocabulary and construct simple sentences.

2)         The beginner stage:

This stage consists of three levels each lasting forty hours. At this stage, the student will be able to:

A-         Formulate correct Arabic sentences.

B-         Understanding in terms of reading and listening.

C-         Clearly and easily express their day-to-day needs.

D-         Talk to Arabs in a relatively acceptable way.

3)         The intermediate stages:

 

This consists of 4 levels (the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th)

By the end of this level the student should be able to:

A-         Formulate short essays and interconnect sentences

B-         Experience a significant improvement in listen and reading

C-         Perfect…

D-         Talk to Arabs in a way that is correct and understandable

4)         The Advanced stages:

This stage consists of 4 levels ( the 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th)

Bu the end of his level the student should be able to:

A-         Formulate long essays

B-         Understand Arabic eloquence and have a brief understanding of Arabic Poetry

C-         Talk to Arabs with fluency

D-         Read Arabic news papers and understand News broadcasts.

5-The Distinguished Stage: This stage consists of four levels (Twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth, fifteenth)

The institute of teaching the Arabic Language and literature relies on uniquely skilled and qualified teachers with fine experience. There also shuyukh whom are well acquainted with the Quran and its recitation all of which are graduates from the Azhar university.
